Principal's News

Dear Families and Friends,

Well, can you believe we had to go into a circuit breaker lockdown this week. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time. It was very difficult to put plans in place when we were given the information from Premier Dan Andrews and Catholic Education Melbourne with such short notice. I was very proud of the staff who spent time on the weekend getting work together for the children to have during 3 days of school closure with provision for remote learning. 

As with all things Covid, please continue to check Skoolbag and your emails for updates as we navigate the new COVID normal. At the time of writing this article the following will be in place for parents:

1. Children are to be dropped at the gates - A-K on Chute Street and L-Z on Barkly Street
2. Children’s hands will be sanitised coming into school during the day and leaving school
3. Masks are mandatory for parents outdoors and indoors and you will not be allowed to go into your child’s classrooms due to the density quota. (Same as prior to the circuit breaker)

Happy Birthday

A very big happy birthday to Father Andrew for Friday. I hope you have a wonderful day and get to spend it with family and friends. 

Foundation students

Foundation students start full time next week. Due to the COVID lockdown, some students did not complete testing on Wednesday due to Melbourne's lockdown. This will be completed on Wednesday 24th February by Carloyn Yass and we will have a Relief Teacher in the Foundation classroom.

School Tours

We are opening the school for school tours on Wednesday 24th February at 10am, 2pm and 7pm. If you know of anyone that would like to tour our school please let them know when the tours are on. All enquiries for school tours please phone Tracey in the office on 9580 4518.

School photos

Reminder that school photos are on Thursday 25th February. Full summer uniform is to be worn. For the girls the following socks are to be worn long navy socks with summer dress and short white socks with navy box pleat skort.  

School Advisory Board

Our first school Advisory Board is occurring next week on Tuesday 23rd February. We welcome 2 new board members - Trent Costelow is the new secretary and Caroline Morgan is a general board member.  All are welcome to attend. 

Class Reps

If any parents would like to be a class representative please advise your classroom teacher. Thank you to Sophie Angus and Eva Takis in 4F and Hayley Olsen for Foundation.

School Photos

Date for your Diary - School Photos will be taken on Thursday 25 February.  All children will be required to come to school in their correct Summer Uniform (including correct footwear).
