Clubs Expo

At our recent Clubs Expo, the legendary Emergency Services Cadets and slightly less legendary Creative Club let go of their ongoing ‘who is the best club?’ rivalry and joined forces to run a Secondary Club Sign-up Day the likes of which The King’s College had never seen before.

Students could not say no to misting up the sneeze guard of the buffet of tasty clubs on offer - followed by actual food! - A snacktacular sausage sizzle, courtesy of Cadets.

More clubs than ever before were on display.

Japanese club promised much with its gimmicky display of Pikachu dolls and high-school drama manga. Run by the great Ms Alyssia Rudd, it’s sure to be a hit with the school’s anime fans.

Mr Michael ‘jazz hands’ Battersby was at his usual best, with a live band and elaborate booth which unsurprisingly dwarfed those of the other clubs. Once again showing off the showmanship and diligence that students of Creative Club can develop.

Mr Joshua Hoffmann, in between casual glances at the eccentrically decorated Creative Club area, could not handle the oncoming swath of humanity that stampeded towards his booth to snatch up application forms and timetables like they were PlayStation Fives. Students were Keen with a capital K to get active and learn to serve their community.

It was a fantastic event that would not have happened without the work of the Music and Events teams. We look forward to holding an even bigger and better event next year!
