Ride2School & International Day of Happiness

Friday 19th March

St Columba's is excited to be celebrating National Ride2School Day and International Day of Happiness on Friday 19 March 2021.

National Ride2School Day is the perfect opportunity to kick-start new healthy habits and promote the many benefits of active travel. We encourage all students and their families to leave the car at home and give riding, walking, scooting or skating to school a go. There will be a delicious healthy breakfast once you arrive so please bring along your own cup!

International Day of Happiness is all about promoting good mental health and finding positive ways to look after ourselves and each other. Dress up in happy colours to celebrate this day!

It’s sure to be a fantastic day and we look forward to seeing you there!

Free Drama Classes

Dear parents,

We are offering 3 FREE Drama classes on Monday's at lunchtime as per the attached flyer:

If there is enough interest in these sessions we will offer drama as a paid lunchtime activity in term 2.  Please note you must register directly with Immerse Drama as per the attached flyer.

Lego

Lego club is operating at lunchtime on Wednesdays. We have lots of very enthusiastic lego fans join us to have some fun and meet other children with similar interests.

Lego club welcomes all children from P-6.

Cheerleading

A number of children have been enjoying the Cheerleading classes at lunchtime on Wednesdays. It is great to see so many of our students having fun and keeping fit.

Chess Club

On Thursdays, at lunchtime, we have a big group of children playing chess. We have expert players and beginners. It is really good to see children sharing their skills to teach their buddies. A very big thank you to Elodie Garel for being so generous with her time to come along and coach our budding chess players. Elodie is a new parent to St Columba's and is Quentin's mum (3/4P) .

Assemblies

Assembly is held at 9:00 am on Friday mornings in the hall. Unfortunately, due to density limits, we are unable to invite parents to assembly this term. We will, however, continue to record our assemblies, posting them on Seesaw.

At assembly, each year level has a chance to share their learning. Class awards and birthdays will be celebrated at each assembly.

Listed is the schedule:
