Principal's Message

Dear Parents, students and the wider community,

A shorter week this week after the Labour Day long weekend. I trust that many of you had the chance to do something fun and/or relaxing with the extra day.

This week many staff and parents have been busy with Program Support Meetings for those students that require these. I thank Mrs Thomas so much for her leadership and dedication to this area of the school.

This week the Year 1/ 2's shared a lovely Mass together with Fr Francis. It is always such a very special part of our week and the reflections of the students are such a pleasure to listen to.

Next week St Patrick's Day is on Wednesday for your calendars. Usually our Year 6 students travel into town to the Cathedral for a Mass and celebration. Sadly due to COVID this will not occur in 2021.

Most of our Year 3-6 students will attend Ballam Park next Friday for the Seaford District Field events. I thank Mrs Ary for her preparation and organisation of this.

As we travel through this period here are some thoughts from Pope Francis on Hope during the Season of Lent:-

"In these times of trouble, when everything seems fragile and uncertain, it may appear challenging to speak of hope. Yet Lent is precisely the season of hope, when we turn back to God who patiently continues to care for his creation which we have often mistreated".

May God bless you all,

Rod Shaw

Principal
