1:1 Chromebook Program Information Evening

The excitement builds as we move closer and closer to the beginning of our new 1:1 Chromebook program!

Our information evening is coming up next week on Wednesday 17th March. This is an important event for parents to attend if you have children in Years 3 to 6. At the completion of each session, students will be allocated their Chromebook to take home.

We look forward to welcoming Trent and Sam from the Cyber Safety Project to run part of the evening. The times for the information sessions are as follows:

Years 3/4: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Wednesday 17th March.

Years 5/6: 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm Wednesday 17th March.

Both sessions will take place in the Community Hall. The Chromebook Program Information Booklet will be sent home to parents via email by the end of this week. The booklet will provide important information and guidelines as well as some frequently asked questions.

Online Safety Picture Book and Song:

This week I refer you back to the eSafety Commissioner's website. A great resource for our younger children is the Online Safety Picture Book and Song.

The story follows Swoosh and Glide, two tech savvy Sugar Gliders as they share some good advice about using technology online. This resource is perfect for our Year Prep to 2 students. It shows how to stay safe online and encourages children to ask for help when they are using digital devices.

Kind regards
