#forgirls

This year we have initiated #forgirls, which is a group providing a safe space for girls to discuss gender based issues in schools, universities and the workplace.

The girls have been creating posters for International Women's Day and are looking forward to interacting with local and more distant professional women about their life experiences.

Last Thursday, 11 February, was International Day of Women and Girls in Science. To mark the occasion, the morning's CREW class discussed issues about providing girls with encouragement and opportunities to pursue their interest in STEM topics. The discussion was preceded by a video presentation which is available to view here:

Hot toast to start the day!

The breakfast program is in full swing this year and we love it! It has been so good to see so many students come say hi, grabbing a piece of toast and or a piece of fruit.

If you haven’t found us yet, we are located at the bottom of D Block out the front window. Try and find us every day between 8:25-8:50 ... if you come too late you may miss out!

A few have been asking me who is paying for all these supplies. Coles donate all of our lovely breakfast food and have been supporting our school for many years now. They are responsible for making sure you have a full tummy before you start your days. Thank you, Coles, we really appreciate your investment!!

So, if you need a bite to eat or want to grab a piece of fruit for later in the day come by and say hi. Everyone is enthusiastically welcomed!
