A message from our Principal

Welcome Back!

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,

Our Year 5 students were very excited to head off to Harrietville for their camp after missing the camps last year.

Teachers have reported that students are enjoying the camp and all the outdoor activities.

We will update you on the School App of the time they will arrive back to school on Friday.

They are very fortunate that the weather has been lovely.

School Advisory Council

The Catholic Education Sandhurst (CES Limited) is the new proprietor of the existing fifty-two schools within the Diocese of Sandhurst.  One of the key dimension of this collaborative work is the establishment and effective operation of an Advisory Council to support the work of schools.

The Advisory Council is the leading consultative and advisory group for the Principal as an active forum for parent and community participation, providing support and advice principally in strategic planning and school improvement.

We are very pleased that we had a large number of parents interested in joining the School Advisory Council.

Over the next two Newsletters, we will introduce the members of the School Advisory Council.  I thank them for their interest and commitment to our school and look forward to working with them.

Sally Mills (Deputy Principal-Curriculum) and John Howley (Middle Years Learning Leader/OHS Officer) are part of the Advisory Council.

Father Joe Taylor will be responsible for the pastoral care and canonical governance of the Parish.  He also has a key role in working and supporting the School in accordance with the Shared Mission Framework and Commitment Statement.

Please meet our new members of the St. Brendan's Advisory Council on the following page.

Year 3/4 - Parade will be held on the Oval

Year 5/6 - Parade will be held on the Courtyard

Face Masks are strongly recommended for use by Staff, Parents/Carer's when physical distancing of 1-5 cannot be maintained.

If parents are at School for more than 15 minutes, please register on the QR Code on doors and windows for  tracking purposes.

Children will parade their outfits and then go to their classes to begin the Art, Music and fun activities that are organised for the day.
