F-4 Community News

Upcoming Events

We are excited to announce the following events to celebrate the end of a fantastic year of learning in the F-4 Community.

Year 4 Celebration Day - Tuesday 30th November

To celebrate Year 4 students completing their time with the F-4 Community, they will participate in a break-up at Aquamoves including a BBQ lunch. Students are permitted to wear their PE uniform on this day.

F-4 Term 4 Assembly Livestream via Facebook - Wednesday 1st December at 9.30am

Whilst the easing of restrictions has taken place in the broader community, to date, a new Operational Guideline has not been received by schools. As such, parents are not able to attend our F-4 Assembly. In lieu of parent attendance, the College has arranged to Livestream/record the assembly. When a new Operational Guideline is received and if parents can be permitted, we will certainly update you.

F-4 Celebration Day - Thursday 2nd December (casual clothes day)

On this day students across F-4 will participate in our annual celebration of the completion of their fantastic year of learning. Students will be offered a variety of fun activities from cooking to craft and sport over the day, including a BBQ and icypole lunch.

‘Obstacool’ Giant Inflatable Obstacle Course - Tuesday 7th December (Orientation Day)

Students from Foundation to Year 6 will participate in a giant inflatable obstacle course at the Northern Oval Kyabram on this day. Each year level will have the opportunity to walk/bus (weather permitting) down to the Northern Oval and have a turn on the obstacle course for 40 minutes before returning to school to complete the rest of the day’s experiences. As part of the Early Commencement Program, this activity will help students and teachers get to know each other and their new classes.

We would like to thank all parents and caregivers for your continued support and engagement in your child/ren’s learning. We look forward to celebrating the end of another challenging, yet rewarding, year for each and every one of our F-4 students.

Swimming

This week we have been to the Echuca Swimming Pool every day to have swimming lessons. The students have been amazing and their progress throughout the week has been wonderful to see. They have had so much fun.

Religious Education

This term we have been learning about the Jesse Tree and the people who prepared for the birth of Jesus. Each student decorated a Christmas bauble and wrote a promise that they were going to complete during the season of Advent.

This weekend, some of our students are going to celebrate the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist. This is a very special day for these students and their families as they take the next step of their faith journey.

We pray for them on this special occasion.

Inquiry and Writing

Some students researched different continents of the southern hemisphere and made posters. This built upon the skills of researching, note taking and presenting their findings.
