Celebrating our fabulous Foundies!
Kit completed some amazing work this week during our weekend recount session. One special thing we do in class, is that the children sometimes get to stand up on the table when they complete outstanding work and the class give them a big applause. Kit, you are a champion writer!
Buddies!
We were luck enough to have a buddy sing along in the fresh air, together, last Friday. The Foundies adore their big buddies and we had so much fun singing and dancing together. A special thanks to the talented Mr Jared for the awesome tunes!
We are concentrating so hard in Foundation on our writing at the moment. Finger spacing, choosing different sentences starters and using our capital letters and full stops correctly are very important. Here are two excellent examples of writing that does just that!
Every Monday the Foundation students write a Recount about their weekend. They are encouraged to use the openers; First, Then, Next, After that, and Lastly. The below is a wonderful example of how openers can be used to guide and teach when to use capital letters and full stops to create accurate sentences.
The students in Foundation C looked at addition to 10 and beyond. They had to use a variety of animals to make 10 four different ways.
