How I must go to sea! 

Where the waves are dancing and singing! 

Yes, I must go to sea! 

To hear the bells so loudly ringing! 

It shall just be me and the clear blue sky! 

It shall just be me alone! 

How I must go to sea with my ambition soaring high! 

How I must go to sea for I must go to home! 

Yes, it must be the ocean in my clear view! 

And I must examine the undimmed assembly of stars! 

And it must be there for it must be true- 

That heaven’s candle lights seem near and not far! 

Yes, I must go to sea to hear the nation sing and not cry! 

Yes, I must go to sea and retire in the ocean’s serene lullaby!
