College Values

Religion and Values Education (RVE) supports the Christian ethos and values of Aitken College. From Prep to Year 11, RVE is taught by a team of teachers who may also engage with students in other areas of the curriculum.

We began the school year with the "Fruit of the Spirit" and how this supports our College Values and engagement within the Christian program, modelling the importance of peace, joy, love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We utilised these virtues in discussion of our relationships and supported by The Golden Rule; Treat other people the way you would like to be treated. There is no greater rule and Christ states "Do to others as you would have them do to you." The term Golden Rule is not found in the Bible, however, is the popular way of referring to the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:12 and Luke 6:31.
