Junior School news
We are now on the home stretch with just over two weeks of school to go. The students have been enthusiastic about starting Year 8 and meeting their new teachers and getting to know their classmates. Students will soon clean out their locker and move to their new locker for 2022. We ask that any student who requires a top locker for medical reasons to be in touch with their new Student Managers as soon as possible.

Junior School Captains 2022
Congratulations to all of the students who applied for a leadership position for 2022. Congratulations to Madelyn Lust (7A) and Mietta King (7A) who are the new Junior School Captains for 2022. We look forward to working with them in the Junior School. Students now have the opportunity to apply for year 8 Class Captain. In week 3 of Headstart students who apply will present a small speech to their class during their Personal Learning lesson.
iPads
Since the return to school teachers have noticed that iPads are being used inappropriately during class time. I have asked teachers to monitor iPad use and confiscate iPads from students who aren't following teacher instructions. For students who are regular offenders, they will have their iPad confiscated for a whole day, or longer. Students have been made aware of this.
Reports
Online reports will be accessible on Friday 10 December via Compass.
Environment week
Monday 13 Dec - Thursday 16 Dec
There are no scheduled classes this week. The school offers an alternative program where students complete different tasks for the first two sessions of the day and view a film in the last session. Students who attend need to wear suitable casual clothes and footwear (thongs are not permitted) and must bring their own food as the canteen will be closed. Some tasks could include gardening, Art and Technology room clean up, removing old and adding new posters/notices to pin boards, etc.
Orientation Day
Grade 6 Orientation Day is on Tuesday 7 December. This year we are pleased that we are allowed to run an onsite Orientation Day. We have several student helpers and staff support with the running of the day. We look forward to meeting the new cohort!
