Aerodynamics introduces students to the science and maths behind flight, Formula 1 Racing and Rocketry. Students learn about aerodynamic principles, experimentation and testing and the design of aerodynamic objects. After a number of introductory lessons, students designed, built and tested bottle rockets to demonstrate their understanding of aerodynamics and will use mathematics such as trigonometry to determine the maximum height of their rocket flight.

Students participated in constructing paper rockets which were fired using a compressed air launcher. Their design challenge was to design and create a rocket that would fly the highest.
