Friends,
As you know so far, the Catholic Church is celebrating the Year of Saint Joseph this year. It is coming towards its end, and December 8th is the final day. Bishop Mark would like to give us all another opportunity to engage with this. In our diocese of Wagga Wagga, we dedicate the weekend of November 13th /14th as a Sunday to St Joseph. He invites us to make our consecration to Saint Joseph.
I earnestly invite you all to join in this consecration. We all know that we need to pray for our family. Please keep in mind also to pray for our students and friends who are undertaking the HSC exam.
Consecration to Saint Joseph
O dearest St. Joseph, I consecrate myself to thy honour and give myself to thee, that thou mayest always be my father, my protector, and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a great purity of heart and a fervent love of the interior life. After thine example, may I do all my actions for the greater glory of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary! And do thou, O Blessed St. Joseph, pray for me that I may share in the peace and joy of thy holy death. Amen.
Saint Joseph, pray for us
Holy Mary, pray for us
Check it out.
Friends,
Next weekend the Holy Church will celebrate the last week of the liturgical year. On that weekend, we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King of the Universe. This reminds us of our dignity as God's children. We all belong to the Royal Family of God's Kingdom, Holy people of God.
On this last Sunday of the liturgical year, December 21st, Bishop Mark invites all young people and families to join in THE WALK TOGETHER to honour Christ the King of the Universe, and to prepare also for the World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal.
MCC students are invited to lead the Youth and families in Griffith and surrounding suburbs from Marian Catholic College to Sacred Heart Parish, Griffith with Holy Rosary and songs.
Just as “Mary arose and went with haste” (Luke 1:39) to share the good news of Jesus Christ, we, too, must arise with haste and share Jesus with others.
How do you bring the Good News of God’s love to others?
