Book Club

Catalogues for Issue 8 have arrived! It’s our final Issue for the year and it is loaded with incredible Christmas books, gift ideas and summer reading for all ages and interests. Please have your orders back to the school or done via LOOP by Tuesday 23rd November to allow for delivery before the end of the Term! 

Wheatbelt NRM News

We are introducing a new member of our team to the Wheatbelt community. His name is Captain Numbat and he is looking to assemble a team of junior biodiversity superheroes. They are called the “Hotspot Heroes”.

This initiative is aimed at primary school aged children and is free to join. By becoming a Hotspot Hero, families will:

• Receive a Welcome Kit upon sign-up which includes hero identity papers, a badge and a gift from Captain Numbat
• Receive quarterly Hero Kits containing a comic book and biodiversity activities that families can do at home
• Be invited to free school holiday events (“Hero Training Camps”) where we’ll engage in activities like night walks, bush tucker tours and vegetation identification trips
• Be issued with an annual biodiversity challenge where families can raise funds to support on-ground projects around the Wheatbelt.

Ngala Country Families

Country Families @ Ngala is an online parenting support service to complement existing professional services.  All of our services are free to parents and professionals.

Targeted at families with children aged 0 – 8 years, living in rural, regional and remote Western Australia, these families can access a variety of online services through our website page: https://www.ngala.com.au/program/country-services/
