Head of Senior Years

Mrs Christine Taylor

We are into the time of year where we are winding down the 2021 academic year but at the same time, we are preparing for 2022. The Senior students have had a week of exams this week and I have to say that I am very proud of the way they have approached this time. All have tried to be well prepared and have approached the examinations in a respectful manner. Next week we go into Orientation Week for 2022 for Years 11 and 12, 2022. We finish and then make a new start.

Talking of endings, the last VCE Year 12 examination took place earlier this week, quite a milestone for the Class of 2021. We are all looking forward to the Valedictory Dinner on Friday 26 November.

I am pleased to announce that one of our 2021 Year 12 Cohort, who was part of the Deakin Accelerate Programme, studying Psychological Science, gained a Distinction for their studies, which gives them an ATAR aggregate increment of 4.0. Well done!

On Friday 26 November, the Year 10’s will enjoy a sausage sizzle at lunch time and the Year 11’s will have a ‘picnic’ lunch provided. This will be a wonderful and enjoyable way of ending a very ‘COVID’ difficult year, full of challenges and great growth. We have all learned and grown together and have made every day count!

This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118: 24)
