Principal's Report

Many thanks to those families who attended this week’s Parent Teacher Interviews.  As always, we really appreciate your time, communication and partnership around student learning.

Today Year 3/4 students headed off on camp today to Howman’s Gap, and not even the forecasted rainfall could dampen their excitement. Our sincere thanks to all attending staff for their organisation and to our volunteers Kate, Emma, Alex and Jake for their time and assistance.  Fingers crossed, the rain holds off!

A reminder that this coming Monday, the 29th November, will be a pupil free day to allow teachers to undertake report writing.  OSHC will be running for families who require this service and bookings are essential.

On Monday we will also be holding our first formal Prep transition day.  Families are asked to park at Tennis Court Avenue and to meet Ellen at the bus shelter at 9am for drop off and again at 10.30 am for pick up.

Swimming commences next Tuesday, the 30th November, for all classes.  Please refer to our Swimming page for information about what students need to bring each the day.  Many thanks to Steph Sanders, Karen Crumpler, Helen L’Huillier and all staff for their assistance with this program.  If there are any parents who are able to assist with walking our younger students to and from the pool, this would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact your child’s teacher if you are able to help. Please note that all volunteers must comply with current COVID rules for vaccination and have a current Working with Children’s Check.

An impending wedding is providing an additional layer of excitement in our school this week and on behalf of us all, I would like to extend our best wishes to Melanie and Tim as they prepare to celebrate their marriage next week.

Thank you again to all families for their support with our raffle.  At the last count, 5745 tickets have been sold, resulting in $9008 being raised to go towards the installation of new, adjustable, basketball rings and drinking fountain.  Ticket sales close next Thursday 2nd December.

We look forward to seeing you at Assembly tomorrow - our Year 2's are performing.

The Neighbourhood Centre are trialling an online canteen order system for the next 2 weeks - see our canteen page for more details.
