Kalinda Giving Tree

We are pleased to be supporting the Uniting Gifts for Families program this year via the Kalinda Giving Tree. Children can make a donation of a new/unopened and unwrapped toy, book, clothing or game under our tree in the school foyer. Donations can be accepted until Thursday 9th December when Fleur from Uniting will be visiting to collect our donations but also speak to our School Captains and other students about the power of this small gesture and the joy that it will bring children and families experiencing homelessness or vulnerability at Christmas

2022 Classes

The teachers, integration aides and support staff have been working hard on creating the best possible class groups for 2022. There is so much to look forward to next year and you can be assured that class creation is an incredibly lengthy and in depth process. We take into account friendships but also optimal conditions for learning with regards to academic, social and emotional needs. On Tuesday 14th December the students will have opportunity to visit their new classroom and meet their new teacher and classmates. Our children always take our lead in how they feel about new beginnings, so when they come home to share their news with you I encourage you to speak with optimism about the adventures that 2022 will bring.

Covid protocols - thank you

We want to thank each and every member of our school community for their understanding, patience, and resilience as we navigate both everyday school and end of year traditions under different Covid restrictions and protocols. We are truly so grateful that our students and staff continue to show resilience in wearing masks and keeping to their year level 'bubbles', that our families understand and respect our protocols around adult visitors onsite, and that so many members of the community continue to show vigilance and responsibility when it comes to isolating and getting tested when they have reason to believe they may have visited an exposure site outside of school. We have been incredibly lucky as a school community to face very little disruption so far but we are very aware that there is no time for complacency. Thank you so much for the part you are playing in keeping our community safe and our children at school.

Having said of all of that, we also want to assure you that if you or your family returns a positive Covid result, that there is absolutely no reason to feel embarrassed or worried about inconveniencing anybody. The fact is that Covid cases in the broader community are much more commonplace than ever before and if your family is affected it will be treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality. Your health and wellbeing are our priority.

We are kind. We are resilient. We are respectful.
