Year 7 Orientation Day 2021

Over the last few weeks, the VSC Community has enjoyed welcoming our 2022 Year 7 cohort to our college in a range of activities and events. 

We hope they enjoyed the Transition process and look forward to seeing their smiling faces next year. 

“On the year 7 Orientation Day last Tuesday, Vermont’s senior student leadership team went around to each of the 2022 year seven classes to run an activity. This included students decorating and writing their details like names, pronouns, hobbies, ambitions and goals on paper leaves that had been put together by a group of student volunteers. This activity stems from a new tree planting initiative which will occur in term 2 of 2022. This project aims at creating education and practical learning around caring for the local environment and engaging with the community through conservation, as well as increasing sustainability and understanding native flora. 2022 is going to be a BIG year for the year sevens, and we hope to welcome them to the school with open arms, encouraging community amongst the college so we can put our best foot forward with the start of the new year!
