Principal's Report 

It’s been fantastic over the last few weeks to see the college up and fully operational, despite a couple of COVID hiccups along the way. Last week we have had two nights of instrumental performances from our music students, the Year 7 2022 family information evening as well as the Transition Program where all Year 7 to 11 students are now in Years 8 to 12, 2022 classes for this week. 

On Tuesday of this week, we also had a full day welcoming all 250 Year 7 students for the 2022 school year, to our school, for the Orientation Program. We look forward to welcoming all these students to our full time program on Monday 31 January, 2022. Next week we have the Year 12 Valedictory dinner to look forward to as well as the annual College Production, tickets on sale now.

Hopefully in 2022 we can continue along this line and offer a full Learning & Teaching program as well as a full, uninterrupted, co-curricular program. 

With a student population of some 1,550 students and 140 staff, realistically and undoubtedly there will be some blips along the way but there is no doubt the vaccination program is greatly assisting us to limit the times a member of the school community has tested positive. I thank the school community for their ongoing support of the measures we are obliged to take in and around any potential positive cases. Parents, guardians, students and staff have been unbelievably cooperative when we have needed to call them about the possibility of their child, or themselves, being exposed. As a Leadership Team, we are also getting more practiced at the department requirements and guidelines around a potential positive COVID case.

Finally enjoy the upcoming summer break and hopefully you will get time to celebrate, rest, relax and spend some quality time with family and friends.

Term dates for 2022 School Year 

NOTE: 

Education Support staff return on Monday 24 January, 2022, so the General Office will be open in the final week of January, excluding the Australia Day public holiday on Wednesday 26th January.

All teachers return on Friday 28 January, 2022
