Senior School

Ethics Olympiad

Last week a team of Year 9 students competed in the Middle School Ethics Olympiad. This event saw the students involved in respectful discourse as they analysed ethical scenarios and were marked on the way they presented logical arguments to these. The critical thinking skills of our ‘ethletes’ were tested, as they presented their ideas and then carefully listened to the ideas of students from other schools before responding. After completing a series a heats, the team from St Patrick’s was the winner of the bronze medal, coming third out of 21 schools.

Congratulations to the team of William Symons, Matthew Svoboda, Oscar Manuel, Harrison White and Michael De Meio for their great thinking skills and teamwork and thank you to Vic Marando for his assistance with preparation for the day.
