Early Commencement Week - Year 10 2025
Transitioning from Year 9 to Year 10
Letting Go and Working Together
As part of our Year 10 Early Commencement Week, our Year 9s went on an excursion to Mt Lofty, Wonga Park and the Lillydale Lake. The theme of this excursion was letting go and working together. To put action to these themes, students had a reflection booklet they completed as they journeyed through various stations of the walk. A highlight was the opportunity for students to select something they wanted to let go of in their life that was not serving them well and, as an act of symbolism, choose a leaf from a tree and place it in the river to let it go. Students also wrote a reflective letter to themselves regarding this theme and then travelled to Lillydale Lake, where we played capture the flag, ate hot chips and wrote down our deep hope for ourselves and for our cohort for 2025.
A wonderful day which contained fun and reflection....something we can build on in 2025.
