Music Information Night – Monday 8 February 6:45pm

We are pleased to let you know that Music Information Night will be Monday 8 February, immediately following the Year 7 Socal BBQ. All year levels are welcome but booking (free) is essential at

With COVID restrictions we do have a limited number of places so where possible we would prefer that one parent accompanies each student. If you miss out on a place, please join the waiting list and we will do our best to accommodate you around the current restrictions and of course if you book and then cannot attend, other families would appreciate you letting us know.

At Music Information Night, starting 6:45pm in the EDSC Performing Arts Centre, you and your children will have the opportunity to learn more about the Instrumental Music Program, hear performances from our bands and orchestras, talk to the teachers and have a look at the instruments. It is very important that you attend to make the best choice of instrument, and to put your preferences in as we have a limited number of places on most instruments.

The instruments offered for tuition in 2021 are:

Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba

Woodwind: Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophone

Percussion includes all mallets and tuned percussion

Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

We have set up a website, Be Part of the Music, where you can explore all the instruments and learn more about the benefits of being involved in a Music program. You can even use the Instrument Matching quiz to help you choose your preferred instruments, and your answers will help us to guide you towards an appropriate choice.
