Executive Master's in Clinical Quality, Safety & Leadership

One of the first things David Mayer (Executive Director, MedStar Institute for Quality and Safety) did when he arrived at MedStar Health was to create an executive master’s program with Georgetown University to help shape the next generation of healthcare quality and safety leaders. 

In four short years, he's proud to say the program has grown tremendously. One of the many reasons the program has been successful is that patient safety and quality care strategies are rarely implemented in isolation. Many national programs have adopted a systems approach that invests in fundamental long-term professional education programs to build strong and sustainable quality and safety infrastructure.

Since the master’s program is completely online, flexible and designed for the professional adult learner we believe it might be of interest to the ISQua members who want to engage more in patient safety science.
