Welcome to 2021

The year has commenced positively and students have settled well into classes and the routine of school.  It has been pleasing to see our senior students embrace their roles as leaders of the school and model our values in practical ways for other students to see. Special thanks to the students who played football and soccer with the new Year 7 students, our school leaders and SRC teams for leadership at assemblies and for the maturity shown by students organising lockers.

Emails/Google Classrooms

It is essential that all students have a device and are signed into Compass and the relevant Google Classrooms. This is one of the main ways we will be disseminating information to students and it is their responsibility to be checking this daily. There are Google Classrooms for VCE, Year 11, Year 12 and subjects.

 

Please support the school by ensuring your child is accessing all the relevant Google Classroom and checking Compass on a daily basis.

VET

VET has started and students have been notified of their VET programs and days/time and bus schedules. It is important students attend as instructed. Attendance requirements are 90% as per school guidelines.

VASS Details

Over the next week students will be asked to check their personal details for the enrolment on VASS. This is the central system for VCE and VCAL and where results are entered and certificates generated. It is important students have the following details correct:

  • Full legal name (on birth certificate or passport)
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Gender

It is important if you change details at any stage during Year 11 and 12 that you let us know so we can amend details on VASS so that students receive certificates, etc.

 

Students will also be asked about the release of results. They will be provided with a hard copy of this information for them and you to read.

Year 12

Camp is rapidly approaching. The equipment list and schedule of events has been placed on the Year 12 Google Classroom. We will also be holding an assembly to go through the arrangements. It is always an enjoyable camp that students remember as a highlight of their year and provides information and skills to equip students for the year ahead. We are looking forward to another great camp.

 

Edrolo and Studyclix  are two on-line learning and study support programs the school has paid for and provided for students. Please ensure that students have accessed these and logged in. Some students still need to pay for the edrolo text books to have full access to the program.
