CLASS OF 2020 ACHIEVING OUTSTANDING RESULTS IN THE WORKFORCE
The Mater Dei Class of 2020 have achieved outstanding outcomes in securing employment in trades and Traineeships. More than 25% of the Year 12 2020 cohort have already secured full time employment in an Apprenticeship or Traineeship.
This is an outstanding result for our students who are entering the workforce with a solid skill base due to participation in Vocational Education and Training courses such as Construction, Hospitality and Metals and Engineering.
Caolan Wealands and Owen Gaynor have both secured Apprentice Chef positions at The Brew Coffee Shop in Turvey Park. Both students completed a Certificate II in Hospitality at Mater Dei Catholic College. These students also completed 2 weeks of work placement as a mandatory component of this course.
