7 - 9 News

 Tracy Peters, Senior School Principal

As we draw closer to the end of the year, I want thank all our students.  They have done an amazing job in such a difficult time. Being separated from their peers and maintaining their studies is to be commended.

I would also like to thank all our families. Without your support I don’t think we would have been able to get our students across the line.  Working together has allowed us to guide the students to become better learners.

To the amazing staff in Senior School, I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work and continued support of the students. They have all gone above and beyond to plan purposeful learning tasks to keep students engaged as well as care for their mental health and well-being.

I am really excited about 2021.  We have our Year 9 elective program up and running.  All charges can be found on COMPASS for both semester 1 and semester 2 electives.

We also have our High Achievers Program beginning next year which I am really excited about. We have a two classes operating in 2021 and we will be opening the applications for 2022 in late term 1-early term 2.

Our Year 7 Camp has now be finalised and costing is on COMPASS. The camp will have a strong focus on study skills, exam preparations and organisational skills.  The afternoon sessions will have a focus on building leadership skills, collaborative skills and resilience building.  We are expecting all our students to attend this camp.

So many exciting things ahead for our Sub School!

To all our departing Year 9s, I wish you all the very best.  Follow your dreams and remember we are always here if you need us.

Have a safe and happy break and I look forward to working with you all in 2021.

Stay safe
