Yakult Tour

The Year 12 Business Management class saw the importance of taking learning beyond the classroom and went to the Yakult factory. This allowed our students the ability to see the operations of a business, which directly related to the study design. Students seemed to enjoy the experience and will use the knowledge gained through the experience on their next assessment task.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive with most students commenting on how useful it was to see a real business up close.
A group of students from the ACU Business Management Class summed it up well: “The excursion was an amazing experience, which broadened our understanding and cemented the key concepts of the various areas of study which we have been focusing on in class. The tour gave us privileged insight into the workings of a successful manufacturer like Yakult and was a comprehensive look at putting theory into practice. We found it interesting to see how the machinery works in Yakult. They have a very productive process of creating and distributing their products. It was great to see the JIT process and how they implemented it into the production of Yakult”.
