In week 8 of this term The Lakes P-9 School celebrated ‘Cultural Diversity Week’.
Cultural Diversity Week coincides with the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and Harmony Day. Cultural Diversity Week is a fantastic way to celebrate the diversity of Victorians and reflect on what gives us all a sense of belonging in our multicultural community.
During the week students participated in activities relating to multiculturalism. The Early Years students also had the opportunity to dress up in clothing that represented their cultural heritage and perform at a special Cultural Diversity Assembly.
