Year 11 Society and Culture

Our Year 11 students share more of their recent Japan experience!

 

Meiji Shrine is located in Shibuya, Tokyo. Students explored the Shinto shrine that is dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken. Entry to the shrine grounds is marked by a massive torri gate, after which the sights and sounds of the busy city are replaced by a tranquil forest with over 100,000 trees.

 

The Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting, restaurant and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo at 634 metres in height. Students enjoyed magnificent views of the large city.
