Athletics Day

In the Special Education classes

On Tuesday 8 May 2018 students from the Special Education classes participated in the Secondary Students with Intellectual Disabilities Athletics Day at Campbelltown Athletics Centre, Leumeah. Students were involved in Track – 100 and 200 metres; Field – Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus and Javelin.  All students thoroughly enjoyed the day and made new friends with students from other schools.  G Brookfield, organising teacher

At the Athletics Carnival, I came first in the 100 metres and second in the 200 metres running races. I threw the Javelin and Discus and pushed the Shot Put. I also saw my old teacher Miss Tsoi there.

At the Athletics Carnival I was very happy to throw the javelin, discuss and shot put. I met a friend called Jack, he liked videotapes just like me. It was a great day.  by Lukas Dovecer.

We went on the bus to Campbelltown oval we ate our recess. We started the 100 metre race. Then we ate our lunch. After lunch I got to throw the discus. I also got to throw the shot put. We did long jump and javelin after. We had a lot of fun. ( by Joshua Vereyken)

I went to the carnival on the school bus. I had recess. I ran two races. I had lunch. I threw the discus, the javelin and the shotput. I did long jump. I went back to school on the bus. Doing so many things made it a tiring day.  (by Lucas Rissotto).

We left school at 9am and went on the bus to Campbelltown Oval. We sat down and started to eat our recess. We started the races at 10 o’clock. I came second in the 100 metre race. Then we ran the 200 metre race. At 12pm we stopped for lunch. After lunch I got to throw the discus and the shotput. The last two events were long jump and javelin. Overall, it was a fun day.
