Create a cake

Wow, What can I say! So far we have had some amazing designs and the students are showing some great talent.

The day started out fairly slow and steady but soon our budding cake decorators began to feel the heat of deadlines and expectations as 1pm crept around. They had been decorating since 9am and the time had come for the finishing touches and the votes to begin...Who would walk away with Most Creative, Best Theme and Best Presentation.

We had Elmo and Cookie monster, rainbows, monsters, pretty swirls, Oreos, unicorns and more. Some had sprinkles or lollies whilst others had colourful buttercream swirls and surprises hidden within. Some brought props, others just used the box supplied but all looked amazing.

Our decorators were nervous when the lunch bell sounded as the votes were about to take place. Teachers were voting, friends were drooling and everyone wanted a taste.

The votes were counted and the winners for the specific categories were as follows:

• Most Creative - Maryam Abdulmunem with her Colourful Lolly Cupcakes
• Best Theme - Janet Vu with her cute Elmo and Cookie Monster
• Best Presentation - Tiannah Poonan & Daniella Lustri  with their Red Velvet and cream swirls

Everyone did an amazing job and should be very proud of their efforts and products.
