Roll Call
One thing many of our students have missed is the routine of morning roll call. To that end as is currently occurring in Year 12 and Junior classes, all students from Years 5 - 12 will be asked to report online to their homeroom teacher at 8.40 am. Pastoral care staff will set their expectations.
Students who are not reporting their attendance and progress to staff during roll call and lessons can expect follow up, so please take the initiative and communicate with your teachers and peers. Ensure your email inbox is effectively cleared for communication to occur.
Attendance Records
Do not be concerned if the Portal has you listed as Absent for Weeks 10 and 11. The Flexible Learning Code the Minister for Education promoted has marked students Absent (physically from school) but Flexible Learning from where they should be (at home!). We will adjust these over the holidays into next Term. Teachers will maintain a roll of their class and any absences from learning through sickness or leave should still be emailed to studentmanagement@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au.
