Hands on Learning

The new school year has seen the Hands On Learning program up and running with the team already contributing to improvements around the school. The establishment of a butterfly garden between Q and R blocks, with native plants and pathways required access steps to be constructed. The HoL team grabbed the opportunity to design and construct a set of strong and safe steps that blends well in the environment. Using treated pine sleepers and granite sand. There will be the addition of more mulch and plantings over the coming months, the space is slowly being transformed, with all planning and works done by the student body. These spaces provide opportunities for the students to learn and apply practical skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.
