Year 10 Hospitality Excursion

On 24th April selected Year 10 students attended the IBIS Hotel in Melbourne to explore career pathways in the Hospitality industry. The students commenced the day listening to the career journeys of 4 Managers from the hotel - Operations Manager, House Manager, Revenue Manager, and the Food/Beverage Manager. They were given a guided tour of the hotel suites, kitchen operations and back of house activities.

The students enjoyed making their own lunches from the buffet, creating refreshing mocktails and working with the barista to make lattes and cappuccinos.

Melton Secondary College would like to thank the CEAV for their assistance in organising this event and funding the cost of transport. Thank you also to the staff at the IBIS Hotel for providing their time to speak to our students.
