Loving the Library @ MSC

Can you meet the Challenge…The Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge?

This year we re-launched the Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge at MSC. The challenge encourages students from Prep- year 10 to read a set number of books over the year and record their efforts online.  All students that complete the challenge will receive a certificate from the Premier, with local school awards also presented later in the year.

The MSC Library have a dedicated display of Reading Challenge books available and will be running promotional activities and displays during the year.

Our Library team are conducting Library Connect sessions to provide log in details and introduce the Reading Challenge to all year 7 and 8 students in conjunction with subscribing to Melton City Libraries.

Melton City Libraries are in a partnership with our library, providing an extension to the services we offer our students, including access to over 5,000 eBooks and many different online services.

We continue to supplement our collection with new releases, curriculum based topics and staff/student requests.  Students can approach one of our team at any time for support in the library.

The library is open from 8.30am – 4.30pm. Recess and lunchtime are for schoolwork, study or independent reading. Students may borrow 4 items on a fortnightly basis and are able to re-borrow if required.

We are also very happy to support senior students in the Year 12 independent Quiet Study Room located in the library.
