Resource Centre News

The Resource Centre has started the school year with a wonderful display of new books and magazines for the students to borrow as well as introducing the Accelerated Reader program to all Year 7 students. Students from Years 8 and 9 have also visited the Resource Centre to swap books and check out the new books on offer.

The Resource Centre has a wide range of reading material that includes both fiction and non-fiction books as well as magazines across many different interests from sport, fishing and science to technology, stagecraft, cars and general interest.

The Library Management Database Oliver is located on the landing page of all devices which provides access to the resources held in the Resource Centre.

Kildare College Staff and Students now have access to the Overdrive digital library.  At present it is available via your browser and will soon be available through the Oliver Library Management System. The steps for access are as follows:

In your browser type in ACEN Member Collection; the following will appear:

Select ACEN Member Collection  

Select ACEN Member Users

These steps will provide access and borrowing rights to the e-Book collection of fiction and non-fiction material including audiobooks and magazines. Items will automatically return at the end of the borrowing period and items may also be reserved and returned before that expiry time.

The Oliver Library Management System database to access resources in the Kildare College collection is available through the landing page of student and staff devices.
