After School Care Program

Hi families,

I would like to again ask you to enrol your children in OSHClub After School Care if you haven’t already done so. Enrolling is free and can save you in a tight spot. Due to recent tightening of regulations, we cannot accept a child into our care without an active enrolment, and while enrolment is fairly straightforward, it is not necessarily quick enough to be done on the day if you suddenly need care. Also, if your child has a medical condition which may require medication while at After School Care, such as asthma or an allergy, we MUST have that medication on hand at the program. We are allowed to share Epipens with the school due to the shortage, but any other medications must be provided to OSHClub to stay at the program. We cannot have children at the program without in-date medication as we risk not only your children’s health, but the continuation of the program – a visit from the Department of Education without these things will certainly result in a large fine for OSHClub and possibly result in the closure of the service.

I have had many queries about fees and I have been in touch with head office and they have sent me the following information:

A $4 late booking fee will be applied for any booking made within 24 hours of a BSC/ASC session.

Cancellations need to be made outside of 48 hours to avoid any absent sessions being recorded – this is for BSC/ASC.

Sessions cancelled within 48 hours for BSC/ASC the parent will be charged their ‘gap fee’ and the child will be marked as absent.

A $5 no show fee will be applied if the service or head office are not notified if a child will be absent from any session (BSC/ASC/VAC)

REMINDERS: If you need to cancel ASC please do so on the internet 24 hours in advance, otherwise leave a message on 0401 501 661 on the day, or pop in to let staff know you are collecting your child so that we know where the children are. OSHClub is open 3:00-6:00pm. There is a $2/minute fee for each child that is picked up after 6pm.
