Curriculum Day

Digital Technologies Teacher Professional Learning

On Tuesday 12 March all teachers, education support staff and school leaders engaged in a day of hands on learning and development focussing on Digital Technology.

The day commenced with professional learning around the Digital technology and digital citizenship curriculum with consideration of its application at CHPS across all year levels.

A series of high-interest, hands-on workshops followed, with staff involved in coding, exploring online learning platforms such as Seesaw and Google Classrooms, creating virtual reality tours with Geo Tools,  investigating how apps, robots and Google Drive can be integrated in the Maths and English programs and considering how we can use STEM to promote collaboration, resilience, creative and critical thinking.

Recognition and huge thanks is extended to our enthusiastic innovators, Rachel Watkins, Ben Murray, Helen Kooloos and Jacqui Pola who designed and presented the day.
