Cross Country
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Cross Country last week. It was so wonderful to see everyone participating and giving it their best effort. Well done Amity and Jaz for coming first place in their age groups, what a super effort! A big thanks also to the many parents that came along to encourage.
Whole School Assembly
This Friday we have our whole school assembly at the Buninyong campus. We will meet in the courtyard at Buninyong (near the main office) at 8:45 am. After the assembly and a visit to the gym and library, we’ll make our way by bus back to Scotsburn at 11.30 am.

Spelling Mastery
A big thank you to our parents who have volunteered to be part of our Spelling Mastery Program. We are still looking for helpers on a Thursday and Friday. If you can spare 25 minutes at 9:00am on either of these days can you please let us know. It is very simple and we are more than happy to help and ‘teach’ you the ropes. Your help is very much appreciated!
Back Creek Farm
On Friday we had our first visit from Back Creek Farm for 2020. The Year 9 students come along to team up with our Grade 4, 5, 6 students in afternoon. The students spread some mulch, tidied up the exercise track, weeded some gardens, started our new art wall and much more. The session finished up with an exciting game of GaGa. Great job everyone!
Parent Liaison Person
Thank you very much to Rachael Lugg, Jo Klein and Nyree Wilson who have volunteered to be our PLPs this year. We appreciate the time and effort you will put in.
Clean Up Australia Day
This Friday 28th Feb is Clean Up Australia Day for schools. We will do our clean up at 2 pm. Please remember to make sure all children have their hats at school on this day. It is great to see our students being involved again in such a great initiative.
Sustainability Expo
Another huge thank you to staff and students that came along on Sunday to support the school at the Buninyong Sustainability Expo. This year was bigger and better than ever before! The sun was shining, making it perfect weather for the solar boats to do their thing. The EBT bikes were a great attraction and it was fantastic for the community to see all the great programs Buninyong PS has to offer. A big thanks to Belinda Wardle for organising plants through Bunnings for the school to sell. We look forward to doing it all again in twelve months.
Resources Needed – ASAP
We are looking for clean, empty soft drink bottles as part a Sustainability project in our Friday Rotations. All students will be making something and will need a bottle for this project.
Being a Parent Helper
With so many wonderful opportunities for parents to be involved with the campus, understanding and being aware of the school’s expectations is important. Please remember that a current Working with Children’s Check is required, with a copy to be given to the Buninyong office and for Shaun to keep on site. A volunteer Working with Children’s Check is free for volunteers and is easy obtain. Please see the Working with Children’s Check Victoria website for more information or to apply and renew your card.

ABC & ROCCH Awards
Zooper Doopers
Zooper Doopers will be on sale this Thursdays for $1.00. The money raised helps us purchase food for our campus pets. Thank you.

Lunch Order Roster
Lunch orders need to be collected from the Buninyong campus at 12.40 pm. Please ensure you organise a swap if necessary so that the students don’t go hungry!
