Assistant Principal's Reflection

Junior School News

What an incredibly exciting year 2018 has been at Pakenham Springs Primary School!  There have been so many new specialist subjects, initiatives, celebrations of achievements, new playground equipment and just recently, our very first 'Springfest'.  What an incredible celebration of student learning this was, and an event that the school should be truly proud of.  It was exciting to see so many people in attendance, and not just members of the school community, but members of the broader community as well.  Thank you to everyone that came along on the night to support our school and join in the celebration of learning.

In recent weeks we have been busy finalising staffing and student groupings for 2019, and as of last week, students will be aware of their Classroom Teacher, Room number and classmates for 2019. Our transition sessions have run incredibly smoothly and I am excited about what 2019 will bring.

Students and Teachers in all year levels should feel incredibly proud of their results and accomplishments in 2018.  Working so closely with the Prep, Year One and Year Two teams has given me a great sense of pride in the growth (both academically and physically!) of the students and of the application and commitment of our staff.  We are incredibly fortunate to have such committed and enthusiastic teachers, with such dedicated staff, committed to challenging and bringing out the best in all students.

I look forward to continuing on in my role next year, and being a member of the Pakenham Springs community in what is sure to be another exciting chapter in our school's relatively short history. With planning and priorities already finalised, I look forward to working closely with all key stakeholders to ensure that Pakenham Springs remains a vibrant and exciting learning community, reflecting our three core values of respect, responsibility and resilience.

In the meantime, I hope that everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable break, as well as a very Merry Christmas, shared with loved ones.

Until next year, take care.

Regards

Danny Forster
