Subject Selection 2020/21
An important aspect of the Year 11 subject selection process for 2020/21 is the Parent-Student Information Evening to be held on Wednesday 3 July. The purpose of this evening is to support your son with information relevant to choosing a Senior School program of study suitable to his ability, interests and aspirations.
The evening will provide you with an opportunity to speak to Heads of Departments and teachers about specific Year 11 subjects and your son’s suitability for them. The main presentation will be limited to approximately 45 minutes providing you with more time for contact with teachers. There will also be University, TAFE and career displays with representatives available to answer questions.
The main presentation will commence at 6:30pm in the Performing Arts Centre for parents while students will meet Head of Year, Mr Touhy in SB22-24. Parents, students and staff will then meet in the library for the careers expo.
Your son will be given a Subject Information Handbook and Work booklet at the beginning of the Subject Selection Programme (24 June). This should be brought on the information evening as it will be referred to during the presentation.
Parking will be available on the main oval. Students are expected to attend the evening and are required to wear full winter school uniform. Parents will receive a letter from the Head of Year with further details.
