Dates for the Diary
These dates are the ones relevant to most students at our school. For other dates please check the UAC website.
August 1st 2018 – UAC/SRS/EAS applications open
September 28th 2018 – Early Bird UAC deadline/SRS closes
November 15th 2018 – SRS offers released
November 30th 2018 – EAS applications close
December 14th 2018 – ATAR’s released
December 20th 2018 –Offers released
January 11th 2019 – Further offers released
The students will go through the application process next Week in Tutor. After the Trial HSC the computer room will be open each lunchtime for two weeks for any students who need assistance.
There is no rush to fill in the UAC 5 preferences, SRS or EAS. I suggest waiting until after the Trial HSC, so you have time to complete more research and if possible attend OPEN DAYS.
Charles Sturt University Information Evening
Get all the information you need about university to make the best decisions for your future study plans.

TAFE NSW
Finishing your HSC in 2018 and expect to be looking for work? In just 4 days you will earn the necessary skills to get that casual job in Hospitality.
Get your RSA, RCG, expresso coffee making, café beverages and food hygiene qualifications. Courses start on November 13th 2018 after the HSC. This is a fully subsidised course and costs only $100.
The information night for the amazing Gap Year program is now less than a week away!!
On this evening, you will find out more about the program, be able to put your name down for first preference of dates, meet the teachers, view the different areas in our department, see where you will be training and even taste a few samples from the kitchen while you are there... the details are as follows:

Location: Dharra Ngurang – TAFE Dining Room Orange Campus
Entrance: Via Prince Street carpark
Bring with you: USI (if you have one)

Melbourne National Merit Scholarship – one-off allowance of $8000 to a student who achieves an ATAR of 99.00 or above, from Australian states and territories other than Victoria.

Australian National University
Australian National University has many scholarships that are available for students to apply to. Below is some regarding some of the scholarships available to Year 12 students who are planning on commencing university in 2019.
ANU College of Asia and the Pacific
Garrurru Undergraduate Indigenous Scholarship
This scholarship provides students with support to the value of $15000 per annum for the duration of a standard undergraduate program in the fields of Asian Studies, Pacific Studies, International Security Studies, and Asian and Pacific Languages.
Full tuition fees of the program plus $5000 stipend per annum will be covered by this scholarship for students enrolling in the Bachelor of International Security Studies.
ANU Joint Colleges of Science
Will you be relocating to Canberra to study a Science degree? We have two scholarships on offer to support your move to ANU.
Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences Relocation Grant
If you live outside the Canberra region, we have relocation scholarships, valued at $1000 each, for students relocating to Canberra to study Mathematical Sciences.
Northrop Grumman Viasat Optus Country Scholarship for Burgmann College
For regional and rural students interested in studying a STEM subject, we have scholarships to assist with your on-campus accommodation costs.
ANU College of Arts and Social Science
The College of Arts and Social Sciences has 21 scholarships aimed at undergraduate students across a range of disciplines, including Creative Arts, Music, Humanities, and Languages.
The objective of this award is to encourage and support first year undergraduate students to undertake studies in classical music performance at ANU School of Music. Available to 2 students a year for an amount of $10000.
ANU Foundation for Visual Arts
Students of Visual Art at the ANU School of Art and Design can apply for the Foundation for Visual Arts scholarship of $5000.
Rotary-Alf Gillespie Scholarship for Indigenous Australian Undergraduate Students
Aimed at Indigenous students, this scholarship encourages study of Indigenous Australian culture across archaeology, anthropology, history, and linguistics.
ANU College of Business and Economics
The ANU College of Business and Economics is proud to announce a suite of equity scholarships to help us find the next generation of future leaders.
The scholarship will assist financially disadvantaged students with the cost of studying in an undergraduate coursework program at the College.
Regional and Rural Relocation Scholarship
The scholarship will assist with the cost of relocating to study in an undergraduate coursework program at the College.
Bhavita Patel Undergraduate Scholarship
The Bhavita Patel Scholarship is a transformative scholarship established to commemorate ANU alumna and treasured Deloitte employee, Bhavita Patel.
The scholarship will be awarded to disadvantaged students commencing undergraduate studies at the CBE Research School of Finance and Actuarial Studies and Statistics (RSFAS).
D. Brownbill Family Scholarship
The scholarship strengthens educational outcomes for students both in terms of skills development and preparation for further study or employment, and improves equity access to university in recognition of the acute disadvantage that some students face in accessing university education.
Undergraduate Scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
The scholarship will assist a student from an Aboriginal or Torres Strit Islander community with the cost of studying in an undergraduate coursework program at the College.
ANU Wide
George Alexander Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to five students who are relocating to Canberra to undertake an undergraduate degree at ANU. Worth $24,000 over three years. Applications close on Friday, 31 August 2018.
UNI Open Days 2018
Western Sydney University (WSU) Open Day - WSU are planning to take a bus down to the Open Day on Sunday 19th August. Any student Years 10-12 interested please let Mrs Jones know.
