Principal's Report

Dear Parents,
PLEASE JOIN US TO CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF FIRST EUCHARIST THIS SATURDAY AT 5.30PM AND SUNDAY AT 10.30AM. WE WELCOME THEM TO THE TABLE OF THE LORD.
Dear Parents,
What a fantastic turnout! We had nearly 90 dad's at our Father's day breakfast which I think was the most well attended breakfast we have had for years. My thanks to Melissa Romanella and her helpers for a wonderful morning. Children love seeing dad at school and these occasions are very well worthwhile. A huge thanks to all those who were able to attend.
On Tuesday we celebrated LOTE day, this year the focus was Italian. The day started off with a very funny and entertaining performance followed by activities in the classroom and yummy ice cream to finish off the day. A huge thanks to Delia Latina and her helpers for making the day so enjoyable. Days like this don't just happen, a lot of work and planning is done before hand and I am very lucky to have a staff who work very hard to ensure your child has every opportunity to experience success. Parents as partners is an enormous help and we really appreciate your efforts.
This weekend and next Sunday, several Year 4 children will make their First Communion. This is indeed a special moment in the children's faith journey and lives. You are most welcome to attend and show your support. Please pray for Rocco Tran, Elijah Sim, Giuliano Frisina, Gwennyth Macaulay, Marcus Latina, Max Latina, Mateo Dalley, Mia Elarmaly, Ava Spiteri, Lucy D'Alessandro, Luke Napoleone, Luca Caporale, Toni Ukam, Thomas Britten, Marco Occhiuzzi, Tyson Davey, Clio Mammarella, Harper Eley, Ayen Machok, Freya Mansfield, Matilda Chalker, Jake Freeman
SCHOOL DENTAL VAN
You may have heard in the media that the Government is pushing to have every child in Australia see a Dentist which is a great initiative. The Dental Van will be at our school the week beginning 28 October. This is a free service for all children. If you wish to take advantage of this service you must return the form to your child's teacher before the end of the term.
This will be the last newsletter for the term. Next week Sharen, Carla, Jane, Jarrod, AnneMarie and myself will be travelling to Ottawa and San Diego to present our Visible Learning journey to the Catholic Education Board of Ottawa and also visit Professor Doug Fisher's school in San Diego. We will also be visiting six schools in the Ottawa district and hopefully learn from them. Canada has been a world leader in Education for some time and we are anticipating that the learning in Canada will be of great benefit to our school. It is a privilege to have been invited to Ottawa and a great way for our school to be recognised as a leader in Education.
REMINDER: SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY 13 SEPTEMBER
Until next term, keep well
Dino
PS. Only 86 days to the Fete, how fantasmagorical!!!
