Parent Opinion Surveys
Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents think of our school. The Parent Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is conducted amongst a sample of randomly selected parents. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour and student engagement. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
Approximately 30 per cent of parents will be invited to participate in this year’s survey. All responses to the survey are anonymous. This year the Parent Opinion Survey will be conducted from now until Sunday 26th August. Parent Opinion Surveys were mailed out earlier this week.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the period above on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.
The survey results will be reported back to the school at the end of September.

Students should be at school by 8.45am so that they can be organized in time for morning roll marking. If a student arrives late, they must report to the main office and sign in before going to class.
LEAVING THE SCHOOL GROUNDS
If a student has to leave the school during the day then they need a note requesting permission to leave. Students must sign out at the main office and then a parent must sign them out in the “Sign Out” book before leaving. If a student is returning to school, the student needs to sign back in at the main office before returning to class.
CONTACTING STUDENTS
Parents are reminded that they are to ring the main office if they need to contact their child during class time. Please avoid contacting them via their phone or IPad devices during class time.
SICKBAY
When a student is unwell, the teacher will give them a note and send them to sickbay to say they are unwell. The student needs to report to the main office with the note.
The office staff will ring a Parent, Guardian or Emergency contact if the student needs to go home.
Students are requested NOT to ring their parents to arrange this pick up and allow this to be organized through the main office. Parents, Guardians or Emergency contact are required to sign the student out at the main office.
