We offer the biggest thanks from all of CJC to our wonderful volunteers at last Sunday’s working bee, and our Parents’ Committee for supporting the event by providing a barbecue.
It was a wonderful turnout, and the weather was perfect for weeding, sweeping, raking, scrubbing… and enjoying a sausage in bread!
A large number of parents enthusiastically tackled the ever-growing weeds, and cleaned out all the little nooks and crannies around the yard where litter gathers.
Mr Borg was a dynamo on the blower, getting lots of pesky sand and leaves back to where they belong.
A group of super keen students scrubbed classroom tables to bring them back to beginning-of-year cleanliness.
Amy organised the much-appreciated barbecue, and Tim did an amazing job of making sure those snags were perfect for the hungry workers.
Patrick treated our chooks to a renovation of the chook coop, which had desperately needed a clean.
There were so many jobs that got done due to the hard work of the families who attended.
Thank you to all of you for helping to keep our school shipshape!
-Mrs Wilson
