CBCA 2023 Notables List

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Notables list has been released. The full list can be found here. Most books in the Older Readers category can be found in the GEC Library. The shortlist will be announced on March 28th March.

International Women’s Day

#EmbraceEquity is the 2023 theme for IWD 2023. Students can celebrate the day on March 8th with a range of activities. The library has a display and we encourage students to explore our great range of books about and written by inspiring women.

New Books

Check out our latest editions here. We welcome suggestions from students by our Suggestion Box, email or come see us at the library desk.

Homework Help

Tuesday & Wednesdays after school in the library (3.30pm - 4.30pm).

Volunteer tutors available for assistance with most subject areas.

The library is open everyday after school for students to study except when staff meetings are scheduled.

Book Club

Book Club for 2023 is up and running. Year 7 and new students are welcome to come see us at the library if you’d like to join. Book Club runs at lunch time every fortnight on Wednesdays on the blue timetable week.
