Japanese

The Japanese Captains and some helpers have been working hard to make the Japanese noticeboard for March look amazing. Come and see what spring is like in Japan! (Not really a spoiler – there’s lots of pink because of the cherry blossoms!)

Hebrew

Purim at GEC was a mix of fun and disaster saved by the Queen Sonia who helped us rescue the gluten free dough … and as in the tale of Esther, we were saved! Despite the hiccups, students had fun making and eating traditional hamantashen. This is a great reminder to us all that sometimes we have to be happy no matter what … it is all about the journey as much as the destination!

French

Meanwhile in the French classes, students are back learning and developing their language skills. In Year 8 French immersion, students have been busy exploring medieval Europe and learning about Charlemagne’s conquests and William’s the Conqueror’s victories. They had fun doing a role-play, acting as vassals and overlords during the homage ceremony.
