We will be holding a Working Bee on Sunday April 2nd, starting at 9am to midday to help tidy up the schoolgrounds. We will need as many hands as possible as there are quite a few jobs to be done, as per below. We won't be able to get to all of them but anything that we can get done will be a bonus.
- tidy up garden beds (rakes, pruners, gloves, wheelbarrow, trailer)
- pick up sticks
- environment centre weeding & tidy up
- coat of varnish on 2022 Year 6 totem poles (school has two availab)
- rocks around foundation garden & mulch (if sourced by working bee)
- blow off all concrete areas, cubby house and shelter sheds (blower if you have one)
- look at football posts on oval to make sure they are secure (Tim Huf)
- scrape off old tape and put new non-slip tape on student toilet steps (scraper, tape is ready)
- two year 6 boards to be taken down and one to be transferred to other side (tool to undo the bolts, drill?)
- remove lavender at front entrance (trailer, ute)
- trim staff carpark hedge (hedger required)
- sandpit level out (rakes or tractor?)
- garden edging at corner of Year 5/6 room to be removed and replaced with rocks (if rocks are available)
- Clean out grates & drains
- Parent/bus entrance fence to be sanded back (sand paper required)
- secure flashing on top of Art Room (pop rivet required)
- secure/replace padding on goal posts
- rake mulch back under play equipment at playground (rakes)
- clean out lockers and area (wipe and blow off)
- wash out the bins from the undercover area
- pull out the large cupboard containing chess pieces (adults only)
- remove burn piles from bottom tanks, Year 6 boards & environment centre (ute or trailer required)
