Art

The F/1/2's this week worked on cutting out their fishes and chameleon's they painted by using primary colours and mixing them together to create a secondary colour. They looked amazing all stuck on the one piece of paper and students were very proud of their work. After we did that we got the paint out and some different shapes and painted over the shapes to make a picture. The students loved the chance to be able to explore and create something with a range of different shapes. Seeing how well they worked and how willing they were to try a range of different things was very exciting.

This week in art the 4/5/6's worked on completing their pictures using cubism. They had started the oil pastel picture a couple of weeks ago and this week we were able to go back and finish them. Once the students had finished they cut out both the oil pastel picture and the texta one and they stuck them side by side on a colour bit of paper. I gave the students the choice of where they would like their picture to be hung and so many of the students wanted their picture facing out for others to see. If you get a chance please take a walk around the art room as I am sure the students would love for you to be able to see their work.
